Correcting a mistake

Hey, I have forgotten to do this for a while, and I just remembered it. The link to the Lazer tutorial that I mentioned a while back was to an .html that didn't have the pictures if you downloaded it. This was a big problem, seeing as how the tutorial relied heavily on the pictures. Luckily, the person who requested the tutorial has already gotten a .doc of it, which will display the pictures correctly. I have just not updated the blog with it until now. Here is a link to the .doc:

I will update my old post to send you there as well.

One more week of hiatus

Here's a quick lo-down:

I am going out of town one more time, so I won't be getting back to any video projects for a little bit longer. Also, now that LordG1gabyt3's contest is going, I really need to work fast, because I will only have about a month after I get back. Personally I would have done 2 or 3 months as the minimum... But I'll just have to work with what I have got. That also means that I won't be working on MVA ep. 6 until after I get back, and after I finish a machinima for the contest.

In short, more delays. But that's summer for you.

A few videos I would like to highlight

Yo people, how's it going? Today I would like to share a few of my favorite new RCT3 machinimas with you.

Before that, however, I would like to do a short update on MVA episode 6. As stated, the episode is officially in production, however I have not started on it in full force yet. Unfortunatley, I probably won't for 3-4 weeks or so, because I have a few vacations coming up. It could be longer than that even, because it sounds like LordG1gabyt3 might hold a machinima contest of sorts and I don't want to miss that.

Now that that is out of the way, here are a few RCT3 movies that I think are worth a look:

ROBBERY! by New023 is basically the same video as JAILBREAK! for the first half, but then has an awesome looking highway scene. I enjoyed it alot even though it's not that original.

North American Earthquake 3 Apocalypse by Julesoogle is a sequal to his last North american earthquake movie, and has a whole bunch of destruction. I composed a lot of the music used in it, so it is extra fun for me to watch it, but I am sure you will enjoy it too.

Finally, 2 acts of the long awaited IMPACT! by LordG1gabyt3 have been released, with the third and final act coming up in a few days.

As far as a review goes... I suppose I should reserve some judgement until the 3rd act comes out, however I will say that I have enjoyed watching it very much so far. It seems like LordG1gabyt3 has been making RCT3 machinima for a long time, but I just realized that IMPACT! is technically only his second film. Thus, I think the most obvious statement to make is that IMPACT! is very ambitious for his second film, and it looks like he has learned a lot from it.

That's all for now.

Laser tutorial

I just finised a tutorial request for a youtuber on how to make the "Laser" effect seen in Mechanics vs. Aliens episode 4. At first I thought I would just send it to him, but I have decided to release it publicly.

I hope it is useful to you, but keep in mind that the tutorial is only for Ulead Video Studi 11.

Even more Blender

Here is another model that I made with blender. Click on it to see it in full res. (1920x1080)

This one took a lot longer than the snowman to render. The snowman took a few seconds, this one almost took 2 hours.

This render reminds me a lot of this Crysis snapshot:

Pretty similar, huh?
